Yummie yummie yummie, I got love in my tummy…
Hey everyone!
Super hot temperatures last week + air conditioning everywhere + airconditioning on the plane = Laura is getting ill. Yaaaay… But at least it happened after our vacation. So please excuse any mistakes today, since I’m really not feeling good.
Anyway, this post is about all the wonderful food we ate last week, the restaurants we went to and also a little bit about the food itself an what it does for your body. We started our vacation with a dinner at Ali Güngörmüs‘ ‚Le canard nouveau‚. He is not just a very excellent chef, he also appears in German TV cooking shows. From his restaurant you can see the Elbe and it’s surrounded by many trees, so it’s very green and the atmosphere is abolutely soothing.
The view from our table// The Patio
Everything about this evening was amzing, we even got to meet Ali. The close contact to his guests is very important to him, so he often brings the food to his guests personally.
Bread, we constantly got a new basket!
Dessert – d e l i c i o u s, I was in heaven. Seriously, this tasted so good and was very light and refreshing on a hot day like this.
After the dinner//These were so tiny, but the taste was incredible. Look at this mini muffin!
All in all it was a wonderful evening, which I will never forget.
Ceasar’s salad
This was at our hotel. I know that normally a ceasar’s salad is not the best choice. It may seem healthy (vegetables, hello?), BUT the dressing can turn it into a real calorie bomb.
But this one was just right. On hot days I mostly opt for salads at lunch since they are refreshing, packed with vitamins and not too heavy.
Lots of vegetables, grilled chicken for protein (makes you feel full for a long time) and less dressing – perfect.
Our last evening we spent at Steffen Henssler’s restaurant ‚Ono‚. We’ve already been there during our previous trip to Hamburg and it was really nice. Normally I’m not a huge fan of sushi, but this one… wow.
The ingredients have a very high quality and are super fresh, so it simply tasted delicious.
Sushi is a really healthy meal, since you get a lot of unsaturated fatty acids (these are the good ones!) from the fish and avocados. Furthermore it is low in calories and provides a high amount of iodine, protein and minerals.
… This actually just made me hungry. (;
Have a nice evening everyone an I hope you feel better than I do!
